Lynne is an impressionistic landscape painter who tries to capture reflections of light and colour onland and water. She paints mostly in oils but also works in acrylics and watercolours. Most of her work is of Ontario scenery but she has also painted many other parts of Canada. Lynne Ryall has been painting in her spare time ever since high school. Much of her work centers on the stylization of Canadian landscape. She has travelled extensively in Canada and takes every opportunity to sketch, paint on site and photograph. Lynne mainly paints in oil, but also does work in acrylic and watercolour. She recently took up studio space at the Cotton Factory in Hamilton where she exhibits her work frequently. She is painting full time as she is now retired from being a secondary school Visual Art, Media and History teacher with the Peel District School Board.
