Art enthusiasts and poetry lovers are in for a treat as the much-anticipated Poets @ Artfest event returns for three delightful days of poetic expressions. The festival, which will take place from July 1 to 3 promises to captivate audiences with heartfelt poetry presented by a diverse group of 56 poets.
Attendees can immerse themselves in the beauty of spoken word as readings take place throughout the weekend in the enchanting Poets @ Artfest Tent. The lineup features a mix of seasoned poets and fresh voices, including talented performers from local communities, as well as participants from Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Peterborough, and every corner in between.
This year's festival theme, "Art Blooms," sets the stage for a truly immersive experience. Visitors are invited to unleash their creativity and craft their own lines of poetry, which can be shared in the giant flower displays adorning the event. Immerse yourself in the world of words and let your imagination bloom alongside the vibrant artistry.
To kick-start the festivities, a free Intuitive Writing Workshop will be held on Saturday, July 1st, starting at 9:00 AM. Hosted by the esteemed Bruce Kauffman, this workshop aims to unleash your inner wordsmith and get your creativity flowing freely. Both the curious and the interested are encouraged to sign up and join in the fun. Poets @ Artfest offers aspiring poets an opportunity to shine with daily open mic sessions. The spacious poetry tent will also house a carefully curated selection of books, chapbooks, and zines, allowing attendees to explore and purchase literary gems that speak to their souls.
