PAIR OF FROG GOBLETS by Lukian Glass Studios

Delicately painted, handblown glass goblets by Lukian Glass showing an scene of frogs cavorting in an underwater garden. This is a pair of 6 ounce goblets produced in Ron and Gail's studio in Rawdon, Quebec.

Ron does all the glass blowing using classic techniques. Gail mixes her own paint using powdered vitreous enamels with special oils and varnishes. This "paint" is then applied with a brush to the surface of the pieces. The pieces are then fired, melting the enamel to the surface of the glass making the decoration permanent.
