Polar Bear Mom and Cub
In Wapusk National Park, in northern Manitoba, along the coast of Hudson’s Bay, there are no roads. It is a highly protected park because it is also home to the second largest polar Bear denning area in the world. It is not easy to get there and is by permission only, but that is where you can see mother Polar Bears escape their Winter dens with a 2-3 month old cub or two, or three (if you’re lucky), and watch these little fur balls play, climb, bounce around and chew on moms ear in this
huge new world they are experiencing for the first time. A heart warming experience to be sure, and every reason to protect their habitat.
