Crystal Ice Trees (Triple)
A significant piece of original art created in my studio in Peterborough, Ontario. Makes a perfect gift for anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature. These trees were made from hundreds of hand cut pieces of glass that were shaped and delicately layered to form the shape of fir trees. Once the design is complete the collection of glass is processed in a kiln at 1400 degrees over many hours at least twice to create depth, texture, and brilliance. Once cooled the trees are displayed on a rugged piece of driftwood collected from the shores of the Pacific Ocean in British Columbia. The trees can be removed from the driftwood to facilitate easy home storage. A note of authenticity accompanies each piece.
