AN AUTUMN WALK
A 24" x 18" x 3/4" original acrylic painting (wrapped around the canvas edge) constructed from a photo by Susan David Photography of a path at Old Kennedy Rd. and Old Schoolhouse Rd. The leaves on the ground (follow the 'yellow brick road) made me want to go on 'an autumn walk' down the path. I loved how the slanted sun played around the fence and filtered through the leaves and branches; so, I wanted to use mauves to complement the various yellows and oranges. This painting won 'Honourable Mention' in the 2021 BMFA Juried Art Show.

I paint in acrylics on smaller pieces from 8" x 8" to 30" x 40". Though a wildlife and pet artist I do enjoy producing landscapes that appeal to me and generally use a small pallet to produce my pieces. I do commissioned work as well as original pieces. I enjoy sharing my art so my prices are reasonable and include shipping and all expenses unless I am shipping out of country. The cost of out of country shipping will be determined by UPS and the client will bear at least 50% of that cost.
Bruce studied under the tutelage of Martin Grove on a York University Course in 1991. He began painting as a professional after retiring from education in 1996. Bruce and 140 Canadian wildlife artists participated to create a mural (16' x 24') to raise funds for CPAWS (which saves wildlife by buying land). He worked again in 2008 and in 2019 with wildlife artists from around the world (13 countries) to develop large murals celebrating the 'Horse' 2008) and the 'Dog' (2019).
