New Growth

I was inspired to do this piece because of the way the tree has started some new growth just below the cut off limb of the limb of the tree in the spring. Kind of unusual to see a limb starting to sprout so close to a cut off limb. I attempted to show how the chain saw after cutting the limb cut into the bark just above the limb showing some interesting textures on the bark. I also noticed that the bark on the tree in different areas has this lighter turquoise blue colour to the bark which was quite interesting to see.
