A very special holiday ornament of cobalt art glass with layered dichroic accents encased in a magic bubble. Reminiscent of Victorian stained glass rondels. On a leather-look cord. Shipping Included.
Katrin and Erik Veski are passionate about their love of fused art glass. Largely self-taught in kiln-formed glass, they have also attended workshops in the glass capital of Corning, N.Y. Their work has been exhibited in numerous juried arts fairs in Westchester County and New York, N.Y., including the prestigious shows at Lyndhurst and Garrison, and has been featured in magazines such as the Home & Design issues of various publications. They are both classically-trained pianists and choral conductors, piano teachers and chefs. Toronto-born and bred, Katrin led the move back to her beloved Canada, where she and Erik now make all of their pieces in their studio by Georgian Bay.
Georgian Bay Art Glass offers decorative and functional items, bowls, platters, lamps, sconces, clocks, candleholders, vases, holiday ornaments as well as jewelry, such as pendants and earrings. The play of lights created by the unique properties of art glass, including its transparency, opacity, reflectiveness and sumptuous colour, with accents of iridized and dichroic glass, make each piece a distinctive artistic work.
