About Us
Merganzer was founded in 1999 by Brett Lundy with the goal of creating furniture that will be treasured for generations through design excellence and quality craftsmanship. The work is meant to reflect contemporary Toronto and to be at home here and the rest of Ontario. We have received recognition from several shows as well as Craft Ontario and The Furniture Society in the United States. Many skilled employees have worked at Merganzer over the years, notably Megan Tilston. Megan began with the very complex dining chairs and remained with Merganzer for another 12 years. Brett is currently assisted by Erik Helle.
At Merganzer we try to be as ecologically conscious as possible. Our designs are carefully chosen to be cherished. Every piece is built with attention and care so they will last the test of time. Most of our finishes are completely green and increasingly so are our adhesives.
