About GDC

Artist Ghislaine Descotes lives near Ottawa, ON in Hawkesbury. She currently has two lines of artistic creations: Recycled tractor tire inner tubes purses and accessories and handmade jewellery. Each piece is unique and one of a kind.

No two purses will be the same as they are created using recycled materials. Unique markings from some of the companies who produce the tire may be visible, adding another interesting element to the piece. They may also have marks and scratches created during their original use. Most of my material comes from farm tractor tires. All stitching is done by hand using heavy duty industrial thread.

Handmade jewelry is made with freshwater pearls, stones, crystals and finished with stainless steel clasps and findings (hypo-allergenic).
