Kevin has always enjoyed working with wood. Being a professional engineer throughout his life, retiring to Blue Mountains has afforded him ample time to further develop his woodworking interests. Kevin progressed from making furniture for family and friends to creating functional art.

Kevin’s passion is to transform logs and offcuts (normally destined for the burn pile) into useful and aesthetic accents for the home. He starts by converting the raw wood into lumber. Once the small pieces of different wood species are sufficiently dried, they are ready to be shaped and assembled into abstract and geometric patterns. Contrasting grains, colors, and shapes make each piece unique and highlights the beauty of the individual wood segments.

His work consists of high-quality charcuterie boards, end grain cutting boards, wooden vases, coasters and 3D wall hangings. Kevin has also progressed into power carving where wood stumps are hollowed out into stunning, one of a kind wooden bowls.

All cutting boards are end grain construction using a glue that is FDA approved for contact with food, have non-skid feet, contoured finger holds and finished with a mixture of food grade mineral oil & beeswax.  Care & Maintenance instructions are provided.

Kevin is a member of Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts. His work is displayed and sold throughout Collingwood and the Georgian Triangle area.
